Detailed Area of Research	Grupo de Investigación en Polifenoles (GIP-USAL; Polyphenols Research Group). Expertise on flavonoid chemistry, analysis, structural characterisation, synthesis, influence on the stability and sensory properties of food, dietary intake and health implications. Current research interests related to the health implications of dietary flavonoids, their bioavailability, metabolism and evaluation of the biological activity and effects using model systems (C. elegans among others).
